Technical Colleges

Technical colleges are post secondary organizations that provide a range of vocational and technical educational courses. They also provide other technical training courses and programs including entry and bridging courses, language and literary courses, basic adult education courses, secondary certificate programs, small business courses and personal enrichment courses.

Technical institutes provide valuable skills development and training in regional and metropolitan areas. Often technical colleges are subject to government or third party funding. Technical colleges usually maintain entry level requirements. In the US, you may be required to submit SAT scores to fulfill requirements. Other countries have different educational grading systems and usually have score requirements for course entry. Mature students may be required to undertake aptitude tests and international students will be required to take an English test and submit supporting documentation to gain entry requirements. This may include taking an aptitude test or submitting suitable international documentation to support the college entry requirements.
